If you attach everything on the houses, make sure that all the materials are within one subobject material. Otherwise you wont get things textures properly.

But if you attach the meshes then a sub object mat will be auto made for you ... all you got to do is select that material.

actually the entire house was setup that way to begin with. even though they are seperate models in a group they all ran on one multi-subobject material. this was because if they needed to change the green trimming to be different for seperate houses i didnt want to have to go into each copy of the building to change the material for just those items. basically i could copy the buildings and to make a color change i would just make a material copy. then change the green sub-object material and apply to an entire group and only the green parts would update. so thats already setup

here is some extra work i did on those eggs, i mean boulders hehehe

now here is the lighter side of things

I think you could try Darktree for those rocks, lowres mesh is enough and no displacement needed.

Also, which trees did you use?

Elf: I thought you were tempting fate! Never ever say "here is the final" he he. Don't be too disheartened, fella. I'm sure they do like it, they're just being clients - give 'em an inch and they want a mile.

I've got a pile of plants - flowers, bushes and stuff. I'll post 'em tomorrow when I'm back in the office, might speed things up for ya.

Can't really help on the people and furniture tho
if you've seen one CG shopping centre, you've seen a mall...
