Wow! If I hadn't recognized the evermotion lamp in the first image, I would've sworn on my life it was a photo. Lighting is spot on.

i had a bit of trouble with the fireplace as it is quite ornate with a lot of scrolling leaves and stuff, so i opted for a simpler model and add more textures.

colour mapping was exponential 2.6 and 2.4

one day i hope to get around to modelling my house so i can do a similar project - it would be great to be able to change wall colours without having to get the damn paint brushes out!

I think your renderings look great! I think if you up the max rate on the ir settings to -1 you would clean up a lot of the inconsistent shadows around some like where the book case meets the wall and stuff like that.

great work. I'd like to know what your lighting set up is like.
