    I found that using LAAAARGE vray plane lights with small multipler is much better than using a smaller one with an higher value... do you agree with that
    Well, that depends a lot on the vision you are after. Larger lights produce softer shadows, and reverse. The light ratios, color gammas, location of the lights, composition, etc, they all need to be considered and how they affect the final rendering.

      the softbox's i used for product shots were no bigger than 3 feet x 3 feet. i know when doing something larger like a car the diffuser is usually alot larger

                            How did you place the golf balls? by hand or with reactor...etc..
                            Also how did you make the golf balls?
                            They are not 100% but still really nice heheh

                              The golf balls were placed by hand, as I tried simcloth (rigids) but the simulation would have taken quite long.
                              Also how did you make the golf balls?
                              • Golf-ball model TUTORIAL:

                                (*) Create a GeoSphere (type: Icosa), segments: 8
                                (*) Convert to Poly
                                (*) Select all edges
                                (*) Chamfer (by hand) till you get the needed wire-look
                                (*) Ctrl+click on the poly sub-object level
                                (*) Invert select
                                (*) Bevel (down) (by polygon)
                                (*) MeshSmooth - 2 iterations.
                                (*) DONE !
