    Looking rather nice!

The tiling grass is a bit off putting - but your trees/shrubbery looks wonderful... What are you using if you don't mind me asking?

I suspect these are XFrog. Did you use opacity mapping in VRayMat ? What do you expect rendertimes to be for the animation frames ?

          Its not tiling,its mower stripes!!
the grass looks great from ground level, but the client needs to see the whole site...

Plants are xfrog, and yes they are opacity mapped which i think im going to have to change for an animation.

As for times, the walk-thur will have to show all phases and center as one area.this first phase took 5 hours to render on 2 pc's at 5000 px wide,so god knows how long it will take..

Ill have to look in to it if it happens.Ill post my findings, silly times no guess...

The road and kerb materials look a bit flat and uniform to me...maybe a little more texture?

@drawehn these images are compressed down from 5000 px wide so the texture is lost abit there.the kerb mat didnt come out all that well in the large images, but i ran out of time..same old story..

@fabrizio yes they are 3d models,i use the opacity mapped leaves just cos i think they look better.i also do work for landscapers so the leaves and bark need to match the real thing.
just a killer on render times..

                  jow,

Your plants and trees are enviable. The most noticable change that I would is to the road. Either make a wicked good noise mix, composite, or texture map it.

What were your render times with those plants and trees?

thanks dude,i had alot of trouble finding a good road texture.in the end i used a simbiont darktree material, which looks ok but i agree it could look better

the render times where about 5-6 hours at 5000 wide over 2 pc's.

                    cheers..

Its looking good, but as someone mentioned it seems a bit flat. When this happens to me I add a bit of glossy (fresnel) reflection, particularly to the paved surfaces. It will help pick up colors from the surroundings, as well as from the HDRI environment map (assuming you're using one). Chris Nichols demonstrated this technique to good effect in his Vray exteriors DVD.
