I think this looks superb. Sorry to disappoint you, but I can't think of any significant criticism.

I agree. Very nicely done. About the only crit I can think of (and it's irrelavent) is the wide use of evermotions very contemporary furnitures - which don't get me wrong are very good models, but I honestly think that this design style appeals to a very few in this part of the world - atleast for now.

            Thanks for comments guys.
The only furniture from evermotion is the chair on the balcony.
The background picture of Seattle is there just because i liked the image and i wanted to create an impression of a top floor flat. So the flat is just a fiction
I agree that it seem a bit cold. I ve tried to adjust the lighting to match the image, but i think if i put more yellow to the background image and to the light it should be warmer. It is not finished yet as i want to add the kitchen and few more furniture models... Hopefully i will post the update soon.

Does anyone know...when i am usign non photon caustics both reflective and refractive, do i need to check affect shadow for the reflective materials on order to see reflective caustics or does this imply only to refractive materials??

            Thanks again

it seems like it is a bit too dark inside of the room. a lot of light outside, large opening, probably another window on the right /invisible on the pic/
and yet dark interior. you even have sharp sunlight coming in through the balcony.
              lighten it up please,
              thank you

Maybe a large Vray light at the window - the same size - to help push the ambient light in a bit more?

Affect shadow/alpha is really used for making refractive objects (like glass) cast realistic transparent shadows I beleive. You probably don't really need reflective caustics on, but leave refractive caustics on in order to get the affect shadows function to behave properly.

When do we get to see another pic?

Nice render - same old 'bachelor pad' though.
                  Kind Regards,

                      Very nice render, few comments
-the lamps from the ceiling are very undefined in color and texture, same goes for the thingy next to the telly.
maybe the screen on the laptop wouldt have a reflection depending on the screentype, that oes for the tely also.
And you might wanna un-align some of your objects slightly, and finally add a remote control to some of the hifi or the telly.
But these are just minimal detailles which might not even improve the image, since its really nice like this

thank you guys for comments, i will do few adjustments by the end of this week....

Does the future version of vray plan to incorporate caustic without having to use photons? something like brute force....if thats the correct way of saying it...?

martin, have you used caustics in this render?

I'd over expose the exterior image a bit more
