Our editors workaround for using the Panasonic with Final Cut Pro is (although still having issues):

      1. Mac: download/buy P2 viewer prog $100.
      2. Mac: download & install the usa 30p codec to a specific user library folder not normal QT library (can remember offhand).
      3. Mac/PC: Using a P2 card reader or attaching a laptop with card slot use this copy/transfer whole card contents to mac HD/network.
      4. View footage with P2 viewer, select convert all or selection of takes to 'xlm fcp' = converted .movs with bin list for Final Cut Pro.

Wow, thanks for your tips jonasa! I was looking into Raylight or Aspect HD in order to create an "intermediate", but I think we agree when we say both Apple and Avid should hurry to get all these issues resolved natively ASAP!
Anyway I will try your solutions too.

        Thanks!
