  • Frank L Wright new style Villa

Im doing a brochure with my latest material and this one should be in it. Used max9 with vray 1.5 rc3. Rendered with irr map + light cache. 3D grass and 3D trees in there which gave a massive rendertime but its nice to do in 3D I think. Photoshopped some grass areas in colour tones and gradients, but nothing on the building.

nice job. The vertical slats on your waterside deck look too large. Also seems a little too saturated. I'd desaturate it just a tad.

Thanks for your reactions, I;ll have a look at the saturation and see how it looks on paper print out as well. The tree is a favorite of mine and should be a japanese version of a decidious tree, anyway I like it

The design of the house was done by an architect here in Holland and he quit clearly used style elements from FLW in this design. The roof angle and large overhang plus the sun porches give it a feel of a country house. Inside the layout is streched and focussed on the surrounding landscape, also a element in the work of FLW. It has been modernised to this time and not entirely 100% remake.

This is becoming an interesting topic

I can respect that you cant see this is FLW inspired design, its not like the Fallingwater house shown above and maybe I didnt visualise it good enough for you to see. Have a look at this (10mb) panorama movie I made:

but there is more to FLW than meets the eye. Im sure you all know the man's work and if you look closely you will see some different turn outs of the same design principles.

For this house I did I was depanding on the design give to me by the architect. In this case a well respected architect who does more FLW inspired villa's in a modern age.

Hi, I´m curious about the way u did that animation. Could you explain the details about it? Im interested in knowing how to create a quicktime which allows u to move back and forward along the animation. I´m familiar with quicktime 360 but i dont really know how u did that one!

                              Thanks!
