  • Foyer WIP

    Hi

Here is an office building I'm working on the moment, its WIP and would like to gauge opinion.
There are two options, one with a blank wall on the left and the other has artwork. Which looks the best please?? Still need to do the floor plate and exterior, but the architect haven't made up their minds on those details yet!!

    Thanks

    Steve

Really strange place for that door on the corner. Breaks the space apart imo, but I know you can't change that. This is the reason why I say, stick with the artless one. You don't need to draw attention on that wall.

And maybe use a corrected camera plane, right now it feels like the whole place is sinking.

    best regards,

I prefer it with the artwork.

I agree with Aldaryn - loose the artwork on that wall and maybe pan a bit right to get a better composition with the upper level slightly off center in the image.
        Otherwise nice work

Great images, are you using an ambient occlusion pass? Some nice shadows around door frame.
Maybe tone down the artwork, something more bland
I worked in an office with a similar foyer and it had large mirrors on wall. Could be worth trying.
            Look forward to updates

I would like to see the left painting a bit higher, perhaps starting at the rail height.

minor nitpick but maybe flip the left most le corb chair so that the folds aren't exactly the same? (i'm assuming the model isn't symmetrical).

thanks for all the comments guys. the client has gone with the painting on the wall version.

renderoo - no Ambient occlusion. The lighting is just vray sun and sky, phys cam, linear colour mapping, with the bright and dark mults at 1 and the gamma at 2.2.

onto the exterior and office space next - once the architect pulls his finger out!!!

                  Cheers
