  • First Thread, Interior Shot

    Hello all

This is my first post. I usually do exterior shots for residential purposes, but recently have had a go at doing interior shots. I am quite happy with the result as it is the first proper inside shot that I have done, but I feel its lacking something. I would really appreciate any comments, critisims, suggestions, anything as I am at an early stage in my 3D career so any suggestions would be beneficial.

    Many thanks

    Gio

I think its lookin really good for a first internal. Great choice of picture on the wall too.
A couple of things. The cushion on the couch needs a little work, its an odd shape. A background of some sort could really help the image, unless its the penthouse of a very tall highrise but you could still get some clouds and birds/planes/parachutists doing their thing..
Also, would there not be lights of some sort in the ceiling? Fresnel reflection on the picture could be good too.
    Good stuff though.

Good start. Needs a bit of secondry lighting and a bit more attention on specular in my opinion. Those railings outside look like they need a bit more detail as well. Also, try adding small chamfers/fillets to edges of key objects to add that specular effect.
