Hi all,
We recently finished a presentation for the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority in the UK, which went public today. The purpose was to help the public understand how the disposal of radioactive waste could happen through underground storage.
The best link is through the NDA's website;
http://www.nda.gov.uk/stakeholders/n...s-outlined.cfm
It seem's to be pretty slow to stream, but there is a smaller version on the home page;
http://www.nda.gov.uk
The project lasted 5/6 weeks, with a team of 2-4 people.
All 3d done with 3dsmax 2008, all vray, edited in After Effects.
The style was based on a cartoony feel but with some realistic textures, reflections etc. Some of the materials are not as would be in real life, just helps the visual effect! All was modeled from scratch, and hand animated. VrayToon was used throughout, as were vray proxies.
Hope you learn something as well as enjoy the watch!
