Here is my first rendering with Vray. I used a quick surface model of a golf club and ball. I still have a lot to learn with the settings but I have to say I am very impressed with how easy I got such good results.

I am having problems with mapping though...I input the image path for the name but nothing is loaded during rendering. How do I browse for the image and have it loaded and rendered?

    Thanks,

    Simple, fast, perfect.

If you need a texture, you can add a texture to the Rhino material (than it is only a diffuse material) or you create a Vray material and press the "M" button. Here you can browse for your texture. Is this your answer?

I can get a texture to work using Rhino material. It's the decaling or "mapping" feature found in the drop down in the object properties dialogue box. I think it is part of the new RCM. I can position the mapping gizmos and set the channels and names but there isn't anywhere to input the image file?

The mapping is independent from the renderer. The tool modify the uv coordinates of the rendermesh only. So you can use textures at the Rhino materials or the Vray materials. Only one problem - at the moment Vray dosn't use the mapping - a known bug. I think it will be fixed soon.
