  • Strange effect with GI

    Dear friends

I have made the modeling of some soles and I was making a render to show it but I have some strange effect when I use GI on.

This is the normal image with no GI, just rect lights.

And this is the image with the same configs but with GI 0.5 I think

Is this a bug? How can i have the Gi on and remove that polygons visulization?

    Thanks

... I know this problem from a old bump map bug. Do you use a bump mapped material? Inverted intensity?

      Hi Micha

Yes I used a bump map, but not inverted.

BTW: Any recomendations on how to improve my render?

      Thanks
      Sergio

... this would be my version - level adjust (Ctrl-L bright parts) and Gamma curve with a s-curve for more contrast and red-curve a little bit higher.

paraglobal - did the Inverted intensity work?

I had the exact same problem yesterday, a bump map translucent material that always rendered the mesh!! - I couldn't find a way around it?!
