        Hello Taoklai

verry nice, the overall feel of the renders are suburb. The carpet looks verry realistic almost like a Vray furr (would you like to explane how do that.? :-[)

It looks great. Maby you want to tell us what kinde of render setting you are usign. what kinde of Vray sun end fisical camara.

And I can see some nice arcmoddels in the renders. but do you moddel also your one moddels.

        Regards,

Beautiful images. Whose floor (wood) textures did you use - is it arroway?

Taoklai, I'm starting to become a fan of yours. Great work as usual. Care to share your settings? How did you manage not burn the the balcony floors with its bright light setup?

            Regards

                thnx 4 you're kind replies

112: 10q, the carpet is made out of some nice grass model i modified (from 3d warehouse)
it's kinda high poly and has 40 megs, i'll post it on a torrent site and pass on the link and i usually like using ready made models (faster) from archmodels, dosch, B&B...
of course when i have an original piece i have to put in my renders, i model it myself.
And 4 the render settings i'll make a small tutorial with some screens soon

David: 10q, the wood texture i used is from archshaders 2, i didn't convert the .mat, i just used the maps

Mikaztro : 10q, as i said, i will post a small tut on settings soon
as 4 the balcony not beeing overblown, just check clamp output and sub pixel mapping in the color mapping menu

                  Re: some work

Tao, I just would like to know what are the things you made in Vray and Photoshop in the image above? Besides your name watermarked on the image, are there any things you adjusted in PS like levels, curves, etc?

                  Thanks again.

                    Re: some work

Tao, thats a really nice collection of images you have there.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think the background image was added in PS. The sunlight areas on the floor in the image above shows a blue-ish tinge (which I assume is the sky environment map) yet the background shows none, so obviously the floor isn't showing a pure reflection.

                      Re: some work

mikaztro: i usually put the bg and do some color correction in postproduction. to me the models and the lighting are very important, to tell u the truth the materials are not (that much). so i do small touch ups in PS i usually like to use 3d objects in my scenes.

Dzine Tech : 10q for you're reply, and yes u are right, the bg is added in PS, but about the blueish tint, it can't be true , i used a verry light yellow area light and added a warming filter to the bg in ps, so i don't know were the blue comes in....as for the reflections on the floor, u're right it doesn't truly reflect the BG, but that is not such a problem with the soft reflections on the wooden floor (in my opinion)

I think these might be some of the best interior renderings I've seen on this forum

                          Re: some work

tbh I believe its not the skylight thats showing on the floor as a result of direct illumination (GI) but the reflection of the environment map being set to sky instead. It's just a minor thing but the images are so good that it would probably go unnoticed by most people anyway. Interesting that you use an area light. What benefit does this give you compared to just using the normal GI light to light the scene?

                            Re: some work

DzineTech: i use an area light because i feel it gives me more control over the light and shadows than the vray sun, especially when using hdri lighting, because with hdri i use the light as the sun and i can move it easier to match the hdri's "sun". And as u said, that blueish tint isn't that noticeable so it didn't bother the customer ...i hope i have time to post some personal work in which i'll have time to clean out all the small kinks
