          Very nice render, and I like the building too. Don't think its particularly sustainable, unless its made out of recycled tyres (!), but that is a seperate issue.
          You have obviously spent some time modelling the landscape and the results are very effective.
          Nice work.

            Thanks David. Actually, the landscaping is easier than modelling the stairs.
            About it's sustainable design....

            Sustainable design seeks to reduce negative impacts on the environment, and the health and comfort of building occupants, thereby improving building performance. The basic objectives of sustainability are to reduce consumption of non-renewable resources, minimize waste, and create healthy, productive environments.

            Sustainable design principles include the ability to:

            * optimize site potential;
            * minimize non-renewable energy consumption;
            * use environmentally preferable products;
            * protect and conserve water;
            * enhance indoor environmental quality; and
            * optimize operational and maintenance practices.

            Utilizing a sustainable design philosophy encourages decisions at each phase of the design process that will reduce negative impacts on the environment and the health of the occupants, without compromising the bottom line. It is an integrated, holistic approach that encourages compromise and trade offs. Such an integrated approach positively impacts all phases of a building's life-cycle, including design, construction, operation and decommissioning.

              Mike - I also like the stairs!. The whole think is a really nice render and an imposing design. Lets not get into the sustainability issues, this is about rendering!
              What do you think about maybe having solar shading, especially over the large windows? It might look cool too!

              Look forward to more.

                sustainable?...i dont care..but can you walk through the stair from ground to midstory?
                if you are student, get the section of stair, then you will find.

                good rendering...

                  Thanks David. I think that's a great idea. I guess window buffers wouldn't suffice. Actually, I'm planning to have solar panels(water heating, power, etc.) installed on top of the round tower, and probably some goofy designs to help reduce power consumption of the Owner. Thanks for the inputs David.

                    Thanks a lot Howard. Actually, there are two stairways. One is (internal staircase)inside the round tower and the other outside of it, to have access to the multiple viewing decks.

                    I hope I understood your query.

                      sustainable design - you are having having a laugh. :P
                      There is nothing in the images posted herethat I can attribute to having an acological/eco-friendly design approach at its core. I'm sorry, but for me this design provokes more questions than answers? Never a good sign.

                      As this is a render thread and taking the images themselves in isolation then I would have to concur that they are indeed very evocative.

                        Thanks for the provocative statements. This is a render thread so I will not discuss it any further. Your observations are well noted. Thank you.

                            hello mikaztro.
                            i like this one, from the concept to the render. Its very nice! but something bothers me about the garden.. maybe the plants. i have to say i`ve seen you do better, but i dont mean this render is not good, i love the textures and more than that the house itself. good work!

                              Coming from you, it's a great compliment. Thanks Nektares.
                              With regards to the landscaping(garden), I intentionally did that so that the attention would only be on the building. I guess I also made a mistake making the Benz color red. :'(

                              Regards,
                              Mike
