    hi there FA,
I think 1st & 3rd image is common, although design wise the 3rd one is more energy efficient.(maybe because of its many sun baffles)

i love the 2nd image, it's unique though a little bit visually striking.

that irregular base is cool! lovely.

    Cheers!

Nomer: rope? that base was made with subdivide and smooth, cell by cell and dupilcated where ever it could be.

                  FreeAgent, brilliant renders.
How have you got on with 'subdivide and smooth'. When I've tried to use it I end up with a black proxy box and the you can't edit using the proxy. I thought this was a conflict with vray, but you seem to have mastered it ok - is there a knack?

clarification: just to say the concept was taken from the rope. not the model. ;D

nomer: haha sorry excuse my ignorance
David: it is a conflict with vray SR1 (which im not running as yet) but i thought of something that might work (or not) if u want to use subdiv, before your session, remove the vray.rb file from ur plugins folder to stop it from loading (put it back when ur done) its a pity these 2 dont play together, strange that it works fine with vray 1.

So its a SR1! Thats a shame, because in many other respects, SR1 is working quite well.
                        Thanks for the reply.

i think that the glass in the first image is close to perfect. reflective yet still transparent. care to share settings, vismat, visopt, insight, advice

                          thanks

interest base but it seems a little too much like herzog & de meuron's stadium in munich.
