New V-Ray Animation - Desmone Architects Demo Reel 2009

This is a demo reel of several projects I have been working on lately. Im sure many of you have already seen most of these projects in various posts Ive made, but in my free time, I created this demo reel to help market the company I work for (Desmone & Associates Architects) and our illustration/animation capabilities.

All of these projects started with modeling in sketchup and were rendered with vray. Roughly 70% was rendered with vray for SU, and the rest of the projects were taken into 3ds max and rendered with vray as well.

It was a lot of hard work, but it was a lot of fun as well. I hope you all enjoy watching it as much as I did making it. Feel free to comment/critique, and any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Hi bro! very nice work i really like your animations, are they done with skp and vray for skp, or theres some 3dsmax stuff going on? anyway i like it a lot, if I can critic some things, they would be the ones i told you about the church, with more components it will be better, but hey, after all, thats minor thing,,,very nice use of after effects and in all I like your work and your progress all this time, really happy for you bro!!

hey man, i respect a lot your dedication and post product work for the representation of your projects.
one doubt... for the sceene of an office with the light animation... the sun is some kind of flare right? or did you really recorded the whole afternoon?

Teo: All of the primary modeling was done in SU, but I believe I took two of those projects and rendered them in 3ds max because of SU's limitations in animation and the projects were originally rendered in vray for max to give me some practice in that progrem. The project with glass doors opening and the church were the ones rendered in max. But thanks for the comments bud, I am enjoying your progress just as much. Anxious to see your next night scene.

ARQ: Thanks man, im glad you liked it. As for the office scene, it was a static camera view with two scene tabs set up for the shadow animation. Then i took those frames and added stock footage of the animated sky in the background and added an animated flair to try and represent the sun (This portion was done in after effects). Im sure the sun location is inaccurate, but I tried to just place it to make the shadows appear like they make sense.

Very nice, I love the second (I think) picture. The interior (hotel room?) the styling really caught my eye.

I think those blue windows in the first shot could use some change, they seem too un-real. The scene where the sun goes across the sky out of the bedroom window needed the same kind of touch up.

Overall: Brilliant work! as always you have impressed me.
