  • First night/dusk scene

    Hi all

Would love you to pick this apart for me. This is my first night scene using Vray.
The job was supposed to go to print last week but hasnt, so have a little time to improve it.

Im not happy with the sky. Im struggling to find the perfect sky on the net.
I also went abit overboard with Ambient Occlusion. Im render another right now
    and toning that down.

Design was mine but had heavy restrictions on size/materials/build ability

        Re: First night/dusk scene

I still look at this alot! This is my favorite evening shot in a while.

Any tips or suggestions on your settings and such? What was your overall approach.

Nice finishes on the Benz too.

            Nice work.
only comment is the drive way concrete mapping. Try a little bit bump and the concrete surface. it would be perfect.

Hi you can try the free sample from hdri-locations.com http://www.hdri-locations.com/freesample.php . I used this one in my dusk render of the residentialbuilding somewhere in this forum.
Your render is already looking great btw. Maybe some more reflection from the glass (in the fresnelreflection settings you can increase the ior or the parallel/perpendicular values).

              Regards.

Great render. Not normally a fan of the traditional cladding, but the way that you fused it with a modern twist just works great! Good job.
