Hi Guys, This is a creature I made with Zbrush, maya and rendered with VRAY.
I used vray sss2 and rendered the final out as a multipass exr, which was composited and tweaked in photoshop. Theres no displacement map used, just a 400K poly mesh with a normal map, vray didn't have any problem churning through the high poly count. I didn't get a chance to paint and tweak the overall color map, which would have probably helped to control the sss.
