  • Utah House

This is one that I am trying to wrap up this week. I haven't had any feedback from the architect, who seems to be very busy, but I have to move on to other work. I posted the gray scale model earlier, but here is a colored version. any suggestions to improve it is much appreciated (which is why I post everything I do here)

Looks nice and clean but a bit to grey. I think it could need a little more light via a more intense sun.
Maybe from behind so it produces some nice shadows on the green.

I like it...the house looks very nice with that lighting but, I don't like the landscape with those flowers there....it looks like nobody is talking care of the house, I would go with just grass and some retaining stone wall with bed of flowers.
the vertical distortion correction is too exaggerated (even It is going in other direction.)

there's something psychedelic happening in that lower right window
but yeah the whole image could use some punch up!

the grass going under the upper deck looks weird, it should have mulch or stone all around the house and I would have a treeline bitmap behind the camera to be reflected by the windows on the lower level.

            Looks good!

The sky is going too grey though - when doing a vignette either use color burn or do a copy merged on the whole image, change the levels so you only have the brightest parts and use that as a mask. vignetting wouldn't make a blown out white sky turn grey like that.
Use your raw lighting pass as a mask in curves adjustment and ramp it right up too, make it feel sunnier.

I don't have any landscape plan, so I am just trying to wrap this up, and hopefully get paid. I tried grass, but it looked odd, so I went with this.

Yes. Good eye! I am working on the front, which needs bushes and stone (I am guessing), so I'll hit the back with more detail, too.

Much better the back view.... I also like the front but the interior bitmap that you have in the dinning room doesn't match the camera.

Yes, it is off! CRAP! But, although I tried to do my best, I am not even sure I am going to get paid on this job. The architect fell off the face of the earth. I'll correct it, but not until I get time.

small update. If I had time I would work on the glass; it would be an opportunity to add depth.

I would have a treeline to be reflected, it looks realistic but the reflection on the windows look unreal.... It's like is the only house in miles in a flat surface.... I hope you didn't send previous images in high res. to the architect.

I tried all that, but it really started to look muddy. What I really need to do, is work on my glass shader
