  • Insurance Building

Here, is an insurance building. Like previously mentioned, I had computer issues, and a looming deadline. These are for city approval, so I am not to overly concerned about the lack of detail.

I would put at least the parking stall lines...the city planners would think that you intentionally omitted that detail.

I don't think it matters, for this project, but I PS'd them in. The city needed to see the colors.

If they want to see colors you can imagine what else they want to see....only in America planers can put obstacles if they don't like the colors.... I can see that if you want to build something around historical buildings.
They want to be smarter than everybody else... They can think that the owners don't want to see how many parking stalls are....it's better showing them.
Some planers actually don't like Photorealistic renderings, they think that you are imposing the project to them.

This is will be bound with drawings, so they would get the other info from there, if needed. But yes, it should be on the rendering, as well.

I got an email from the owner, saying how much they loved the images, and how they couldn't believe how real it looks. Now, I was waiting negative feedback. I'll still work on these, for my own gratification, and post updates.

That snobby Audi driver parked over the lines

I like it, although I would've preferred a more dynamic "hero type shot" but that's just me. Nice and clean image.

I got comments like that several times about the cars.... I'm looking for red neck's cars with dust, dirt and rust shaders on them.

This is soo funny. We get the opposite. Where are all the nice cars, like Bently, Porsche, Ferrari. Really!? I always find it interesting to see different clients reactions to the various entourage placed in the scene. That would make for a great thread topic!

I have a client who works for a big company...the lawyer advised that instead to put people on the renderings I have to use silhouettes because they don't want to show any specific race as a consumer.....I had to remove a fat guy ( axyzdesign), because he was overweight!!!!
One time I had to use only American cars because the planer was "I'm proud to be an American guy".
I presented a project all white( physical model style) and some people was complaint about it.... They didn't want to have a pure white building in their neighborhood....( WTF. If I had a shotgun that day for sure I would be in prison today)

We have had clients complain that the silhouettes were either dark grey or white. It's a silhouette and it needs to be one or the other color for them to be seen in the different renders! Definitely had to change race and remove kids from scenes because they are not appropriate for the setting.

I guess that when I put people into a scene, I am usually trying to find people that appear to interact with something in the scene irregardless of race. Any more, it just makes me chuckle that clients get so hung up on people that they completely ignore their design, until later and ask why x, y and z design changes never made it into the final renders. *shakes head*

for this one, knowing that it is on a reservation, people were not an option.
