This is my latest piece done with V-Ray, a personal project done in roughly 2 days (from zero to the final image).
It’s inspired on the original design by Kerra Michele Huerta (http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/kerr...llery/47337/10), and I used 3ds max 2014, V-Ray 3.0, Marvelous Designer and Photoshop CS6.

Love it!!! I try so hard to get people I do work for to do these vignettes. People want to show as much as they can in one view, regardless of composition, and it never really works in anybody's favor.

Thanks, man! And I agree, sometimes a small part of the project tells a much better story than a panorama.

Beauty, love it too. It does seem that the people who appreciate this sort of photography/rendering are designers because they are excited by things like composition, texture, detail and quality of light. The reality of the larger more commercial world is different and it is hard to sell this vision to very literal minded clients, especially if they don´t see the benefit of spending that much extra. While a little short sighted they do probably know their clients relatively well and know what works to sell their products.
                Again, lovely work.

Maybe they just underestimate their clients, you know? I mean, good design is always welcome and people can tell the difference. What I experience here is that most clients actually don't know their audience, so they just play it safe.
                  Thanks for the feedback!

Agreed, and one thing is for sure, in the current market conditions they need every advantage they can get. It´s a tendency, in good times and bad, to play it safe.

I really like the image! Very nice arrangement. I just want to give that electrical socket a good clean up though (it probably wouldn't bug me if it weren't convincing)!

Agree also that it would be great if commercial clients were more open to images like this that prioritise composition over sheer quantity of information.
I've tried to argue the concept with a couple of designers I work with quite often but with very little success in convincing anyone yet.
I suppose it depends on their client and the purpose of use for the visuals but the 'I want to see everything in the room' attitude gets a bit deflating after a while.

Very nice lighting/texturing and composition. I would have personally used a longer lens to reduce the fairly extreme perspective.
                        Regards
