Still looks way too sharp for my liking.

Looks great now. My only comments (aside from the wood grain that you pointed out) would be:
- The tables look too shiny, given that the bitmap used looks like a fairly old/weathered style timber. I would expect a more "waxy" looking finish to them.
- The GI/Irradiance map blotches in the second image.
- No smoothing on metal bars over counter.
Looks great though, especially those big pendants in the middle.Check out my (rarely updated) blog @ http://macviz.blogspot.co.uk/

I can fix that up in post. I had long render times, so I spent a lot of time trying to work through that. All the wood looks a little fuzzy and if you zoom it you'll see weak sampling. I could probably spend a few more days, which I don't have, trying to get better render times. Currently, what you see, was 2 1/2 hours (3840 x 2040).Bobby Parker

Also, the wood on the chairs look a little matte/flat. Maybe increase reflection a bit of those or instead fresnel ticked, use a falloff with fresnel mode and make the black a little lighter
Glossy of 0.75 - 0.8 maybe?
Or increase IOR?Last edited by Morne; 10-10-2014, 02:58 AM.Kind Regards,

I don't remembre if it's named area filter....inside the material, where you load the textures... Blur filter or something like that..... I always move it down to 0.
Irmap &lc ....I don't use lc for glossies when i pre-calculate GI.show me the money!!
