  • Osprey Estate - Eaton Kitchen

I am seeing noise in the walls/ceiling and some over exposed areas, but overall I think that it's looking good.

Yes. I caught that and it has been updated. I downloaded that fridge straight from the company website, which was awesome!

that's pretty cool that they offer 3d models on their site.

The ceiling noise looks like oversampled IMAP splotches. Your min imap rate is probably too high, check the GI RE and see if it's there.

Here is an update; they wanted more modern. This is just a proof, so the settings are lower.

I thought so. No texture maps, but cool nerveless.

in my opinion bobby, the stainless steel on the kitchen hood needs more glossiness or/and an anisotropic map....the reflection of the subway tile looks like a mirror.

                      a couple more observations:
-the chamfer on the floor tile is out of scale and the reflection of the white cabinets needs more glossiness and probably turn it down a notch... i like the new wood color, it looks better.

i just noticed something weird, the height of the island...at least where the sink is should be the same height of the other countertops and you don't need to have the recessed wall behind the refrigerator if you use the type of refrigerator that you have in there, because the compressor is on top of the unit and the depth of it is less than a regular one.

I used multitexture floor generator for the floor and I did notice that the chamfer is too much. I think I'll have to find a different fridge; their plans show the recess in the wall; good catch.

Update to the kitchen. It's lower resolution, with lower settings, but I got a really good render time. It was hard to balance the light. Once I put a sun in the scene all the interior lights pretty much were not noticeable, so I decided to go with a late day shot.

                            Really nice render!

With a lot of the stuff you get to work on, the architects seem to choose a lot of rich, darker woods which suck a lot of the light airiness out of the shots - I'm not a huge fan of it since it closes in the space but the quality of your actual render is really good!
