the color of the house and roof is not very appealing to me and It looks like you have 2 light sources, you can see two shadows in different angles.....I personally don't like the trees blocking the house.

I struggle with aligning my HDRI with my V-Ray Sun. This time it looks like I was off. I have never been able to successfully paste a sky in post without getting the dreadful white fringing, so I get my sky from my HDRI. Plus, the reflections and lighting, of course are handled by it as well.Bobby Parker

what I did in the past to match a vraysun with a HDRI is a simple math. - open in Photoshop.... see how many pixel are from the bottom to the center of the sun.(vertically) - The angle of the vraylight would be : S*180/H where S is the sun in pixels and H is the vertical number of pixels of the full image. because is half dome (180 degrees) is proportional to H and S is proportional to the angle of the light source.
if you open the HDRI and it has this black area on the bottom use 360 instead of 180Last edited by flino2004; 01-06-2015, 10:14 AM.show me the money!!

I am not sure here. My sun's pixels, in PS, is 25.213. Is that the height, or the sun? How do I get the other one.Originally posted by flino2004 View Postwhat I did in the past to match a vraysun with a HDRI is a simple math.

Putting a sphere and moving it around using RT works nicely. Maybe not as scientific, but it worked. Once I get the sphere to cover the HDRI's sun, I can move my sun up that high. First, I point a camera to where I want the sun, then I rotate the HDRI to align. Once the HDRI is rotated, I then place the sphere and move the SUN up/down.Bobby Parker

Gotcha
25.213 = S
79.750 = H (no black bottom)
S*180/H
25.213*180/29.750 = 152.55 What is this number?Bobby Parker
