How do you get away with 15 in HS subdiv and still have this quality of image, guess I missed something
    My question is....
Why use more than 50 in HS subdiv (as seen many times) when with values around 15-20 you can have this quality?

Probably I'm wrong and depends on the scene but I never used more 20-25 subivs and also never more than 20-25 in interp samples.

Cause usually, when going under 30 or 35, you get some blotches, well, at least when I try to get away with it.

Mabee it depends on the scene, and as well your QMC sampler settings..anyway.. interesting

Well, when you have no secondary bounces, and most of your lights appear to be omni-lights with rather defined shadows, then the HS subdivisions aren't really needed at 50.
