    Yep, that's the same. I'll try it again. I watched their video and it reminds me of one plugin for PS that they stopped making; I forget the name.

          Ok, when you have I'd love to talk about colour grading . It's a topic that not even a lot of photographers get into on a serious level, even though they should. Compared to movies that is .

            some of the best grading luts i have found are these and used directly in photoshop, saves a tone of time in grading, i forgot to say, they have a before and after image, so usually its nice to try add a color balance under the lut and get it similar to their before image then the lut more or less looks like their after image, really powerful

              Me personally, I don't fancy luts so much. They always seem nice but as you said, you need to have the same base material to have the same result. I also find it cumbersome to further adjust the image after applying the lut and am faster doing the grade from scratch, especially if there is a very certain look I'm after.
              that said, whatever works for you is fine obviously
