Hello,
I proposed to share our experience regarding Ram usage using RT GPU (Cuda). That could be helpfull for Vray user to choose between 2/4/6Gb or more CG card.
Configuration :
One Quadro for diplay, One GTX 670 4Gb dedicated for GPU rendering
Vray 3.x, Progressive RPP
VFB size :500x707
Still Image
Poly: 10 205 677
Verts: 7 758 711
Max Size : 93.1Mo (max 2012)
Total texture folder size : 92.4Mo
Nbs of texture files: 94 Files (including IES)
GPU-Z memory usage (dedicated) : 1370Mo
Resize for GPU : 512/8bit
VFB x2:
1000x1414, do not increase the memory according to GPU-Z. I guess the VFB used the quadro memory (display) and not the GTX (GPU rendering).
I find out that all my scenes (Archviz interior) fit bellow 2Gb.
Thanks to share your own.
