  • Low cost video server

Im trying to build a video server which i can also use for some 3d as well.
the specs for the video software i'm using (casparCG) mentions that clock speed is more important than cores for the running of flash but their system recommendation is a year old
    http://casparcg.com/wiki/CasparCG_Se...m_Requirements
looking through newegg i found a xeon at a good price and good clock speed but it only has 16 pci express lanes which isnt a good thing according to the specs needed

but it has no reviews. The E5 series have a lower clock speed in the same price range so i can't go for those
for the mobo i went with the newegg recommendation which didnt have bad reviews

and the graphics i wanted to keep cheap and simple so i went with a GTX

the ram and hard drives shouldn't be hard to figure out but the lack of reviews gives me pause. essentially id like to keep it under 1500USD for chip, ram, case, mobo, graphics, 3 drives (2 in raid 0 for media and 1 for OS) ive got to add a blackmagic 4k as well but thats a separate cost
