It's probably too late to get a quick reply, but I'll try. I have a meeting in a couple of hours for around 55 images, and they want to ask about payment terms. I have had larger projects pay 100% upfront, and everyone else has paid the 50% deposit. These are the first guys to question their payment terms and hint at a payment every Friday. I wouldn't say I like the payment upfront since the incentive to wrap up a project is gone, and the 50/50 works for me better. I might suggest keeping the 50/50 but breaking the project into phases. I prefer signing them all since I can better schedule and do nothing but work on their project for a month. What have you guys done for these kinds of requests?
