A odd 3ds max image folder renaming quirk

So, render image, save image in a new folder that you create in the save process. It is now impossible to rename that new folder without closing Max. Resetting doesn't help, it needs to be closed completely.
There probably isn't a solution...just wondered if anyone knew why it happens.
