mAX 9 and Arch Desktop 06

Ok....just upgraded to Max 9 and now when I relink a dwg from Desktp....The components come in all on one layer?? When I had a wall with 4 components, I could name them and they would all come in seperate. Anyone have any suggestions on why this would not work or it changed??
