does anyone know if there's maybe a driver update for the 8600go GS?
i've crysis on my laptop, and try'd the 8600 GS driver update but he always told me he can't find hardware for drivers..
i have to set all to medium in res. 800x600 for playing fluidly with a core 2 duo, 2 GB, and the 8600go GS.

you probably just chose the normal invidia driver. I did the same thing with my 7900 gs. I had to choose the proper driver from the top dropdown menu.

I didn't think that nvidia released laptop drivers, I thought it was the responsibility of the manfacturer to do so.

Have a look at this site for some nice laptop drivers though. Maybe it will help?

Nice one Daforce, thanks for the link

Had the same problem as jonnybefree, 8600gt card with 512 ram and it ran like a bag of S***! even at low settings and 800x600 res!!
installed the 169.02 driver and bang, it runs sweet on high settings and 1280 res.

Now i'd better get on with some work...

                  hmm damn,
                  same as before here.
i allways get the "could not find hardware" failure..
i did the driver check though, and he told me that i have the latest graphic driver. but nvidia panel tells me that there's the 1.4.2.52 on it...

jonnybefree, you need to change the INF file,
                    read here-

                    I used this driver-
                    http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/...howtopic=15785
the INF file is at the top of the page next to the driver link.

                    Hope this helps.

Good to see you 2 are up and running.
Its amazing the difference some drivers can make isnt it!!

                            aphex79:
Download driver cleaner pro 1.5 from the net.

Then uninstall your drivers, reboot into safe mode, run drivercleaner and choose nvidia from the list and choose clean. then once thats done reboot back into windows and then install the drivers.
                            Should be ok after that.

Im really enjoying the game so far. The only thing that gave me headach (literally) was the damn motion blur. Just waaaay too much. So I found on a forum a way to turn it off. Going to try it tonight. Really enjoy the game though.
And yeah it has way too much grafix wise for modern cards to handle.
