delete the MR folder and it will start a lot quicker!
(do this at your own risk - but it do work)

Renaming the MR folder might also work, no need to delete it.

What will that do? Keep mr from loading and save some memory?

If so, great tip for us! I have no use for mr whatsoever.

Stefan is right .. you can just rename it .. that would also keep it from loading, and yes it will save you a lot of memmory!

Has anyone been having memory problems with max 6 and Vray? Files rendering very slow etc???

After deleting the mentalray.dlz and the mentalray2.dlz from the stdplugs, Vray renders sooooooooo much faster on my machines that only hav 2GB RAM

Correction... this is only the case with very small renders i.e. 640x480

You probably have set the MatEdit Renderer to mental Ray and now it cant render the swatches. Switch the MatEdit Renderer to scanline or whatever you use.
