Load/merge multiple Xref objects at once

Hey guys,
I have a little problem. I have a scene where I need to load objects from multiple Xref files, around 20 in total. However, when I click the "create Xref Record from file"-button in the Xref Objects dialog, I can only select one file. I wish I could select multiple files at once and the program loads all the objects from these files as Xrefs. Is there a small workaround using MaxScript? I am using Max 2011.
