Hi guys.
We are used to use AFX in all our comp.
The main advantage is to make a comp/grading on shots and be able to quickly make some changes in 3D once we have feedback and have the whole pipeline behind who updates automatically once we replace the render footage with the new once.
This works great for few years, but I'm still tempted to be able to use PS as it tends to be faster for grading and try things, also, there are some awesome plugs that are available to PS that are not for any other comp soft (Adobe Camera Raw, Arion FX, etc)
It's been few versions that PS allows us to use linked smart objects, and that's great to have 3D footage that updates in PS, BESIDE for MultiMatteEllements.
Because I have to import the MM and then go to the layers to select the right color (RGB) and then copy past that into a mask (ie : hue/sat), this breaks the link with the smart object.
Do you guys have any particular technique to have the MM updating automatically? Is there a way to have them update automatically?
I'd love to hear your thoughts,
Stan
