Using Mac via parallels as render node?

I have a recent model iMac. I was thinking about using it as a render node when it's not in use through using Parallels. I'd be running parallels directly not through bootcamp which I don't even think is possible on recent macs.


Has anyone done this? Is it easy to set up with backburner? Is the performance hit massive for not running native Windows?
