Hello VRay Team, I am wondering how difficult it would to implement.
Basically, we are using VRay across a lot of different applications, and potential is very visible here, same render, same shaders, same lights, but when it came to real practice it is not as beautiful as it could be!
I know all apps has their own specific issues, but you probably already know every single trick to go around of them.
Let me just describe ideal scenario:
1. Export scene from any app to .vrscene, it collect all shaders, lights (with textures), geometry into one file with links to the textures.
2. In another app load the .vrscene, unpack it, as a result we will have all the same setup with full controls and ability to light link specific parts, move lights, etc.
What will this could really give us is that we can prepare assets witch would work pretty much close result across the apps, and will give us more flexibility.
Whenever each app is having specific procedural texture, the export dialog could just ask if we want to "Render, bake state of texture into .exr" this will give some way to cover incompatibility.
I know there already was 100s of such suggestions, but you guys really has the ability to make it work, because you have such nice coverage of applications.
Best,
Eduard
