I've just tried the cryptomatte render element, cause psd-manager is not yet working with vray 5.
With the exr-io plugin for photoshop is seems to be a great alternative to psd manager. But it seems that the parent layers which include multiple layers arent included in the cryptomatte element.
Is this a normal behaviour or can you control whether or not the parent layers are generated?
