Vray Installed in Max 8

We just got max 8 here, and I just installed Vray, but the Vray plane and Vray fur plugins arent loading up. Any clues on how to remedy this? Earlier we installed them and it worked fine, but we accadently placed in the wrong Max Ident Key so We had to uninstall and reinstall max 8 to put the correct key in.

Any clues?

AH! thats what I was looking for, thanks! Ill trythat right now!.

Well, I added the \ to the end of the D:\3dsmax7\plugins\vrayplugins sequence... and its still not loading the vray plane and vray fur, and I dont get why NOT

Ok, I figured it out, I had to move the Vray plugins to upload AFTER the other plugins, like so.

Additional MAX plug-ins=D:\3dsMax8\plugins
V-Ray additional plug-ins=D:\3dsMax8\plugins\vrayplugins

Works now ...I dont know WHY.. but it works.

Probably because the vray plugins probably rely on other plugins to be present. Remember, much of the core functionality of max actually comes from plugins.

I have just installed 8 and I am having the same problems. I get error code 126 and that vray plane and fur cannot find the correct modules. I see them at the bottom of the plugin.ini file as well as the max.ini file.

I fixed it seems I created 1 extra folder in plugins called vray - removing that folder and moving all vray related files up one level fixed it.
