disapointed with lack of materials

I am new to Vray and have been quite disapointed with the lack of materials such as woods (real woods not floor woods) and expected Asgvis to include at least a basic but reasonable database of materials. I don't really have time to make materials.
Can anyone please suggest a way forward? Thanks
