  • Some glass questions

    Hi

I have a scene that I built in sketchup 7 and rendered using vray and have some questions regarding a couple of the glass type features. I have included a shot with the three problem areas highlighted in different colors.

Green: This is a glass barrier that runs along the mezzanine of the space and for some reason, anything that is beyond the glass is showing up as on the same plane as the glass. its like a 2d projection of the modeled space behind.. how can I avoid this? I have tested a few different settings for my glass material, but every time I render it does basically the same thing. Am I overlooking something?

Blue: I would really like for this part of the light fixture to have a little bit of a glow. Does anyone know how to accomplish this? do i need to make the glass cylinder part of the fixture a low output light?

Magenta: This is same glass material that i am using around the mezzanine, but instead of projecting a 2d image of the model beyond (maybe because there is nothing modeled beyond the glass here) it instead makes the dark areas of reflections purple... this one is pretty baffling. thoughts?

    Thanks
