Rendering my 9.4 megapixel scenes was taking a while, then I noticed there was a thing called Distributed Rendering.I had long thought about spreading the work across the house, and had thought about splitting the scene up into halves and setting it to go at half the resolution. however this on further inspection seemed very difficult to pull off.
So this DR thing seemed right up my street.
the problem is, I have no idea how to do it.
I got vray and SU 8 installed on my two main target computers. FYI these are:
Acer Revo 3700 with 1.8GHz dual core atom, 4 threads and 2mb cache, NVidia ION 2, 2GB ram
Del Inspiron 1525 with 2.0GHz core 2 duo (T5800), no multithreading, 3mb cache, Intel Integrated Graphics, 4GB ram.
They are both connected to the same router. From there on, I have no idea. any help?
