  • Looking for tips on creating material 'diversity'

I am wondering if it is possible, somehow, to create slight variations of a materials appearance randomly across every instance of it being applied to a surface.

For example - say I had a series of wooden slats, floor boards, tree leaves, grass blades, or whatever it is... the way I imagine this working is that within their respective material settings there is a settings that might create a random 'shifts' (say in colour adjustments, or darkness/brightness within these series of controlled parameters) across each instance of it being used. In that way there is subtle variation across every instance to appear less uniform and doesn't involve me manually creating 6 variations of the same material.

Or maybe there is something else entirely that can more easily create what I'm imagining?

    look forward to any responses..
Working...
