  • Vray - After Effects - camera tracking

    Hey Guys!

I got a request to do a product video, where i will use a flythrough a room and blinking screens and "glowing data packets" going trhough pipes.

All this want to do in Vray + Sketchup + After Effects, hahaha!

I thought of a workflow like this:

Set up skp-scene and camera path
    Render Video in Vray
Import in After Effects and use camera 3D tracking to find all my objects in the room i want to use.
make all the blinking, glowing etc with after effects masks, paths etc.

Is this a workflow you would say yes to?

I came up with this workflow because i think that:

    1) skp doesnt allow object moving animations
    2) vray is not able to render my whole room into a 3d-file i can import in after effects!? what would be actually awesome.
    3) which other way would there be to tell after effects where i want my animations to be placed?

Any suggestions on this topic? easier ways to do it?
And one other question: How would i bring a moving slhouette to the film?

Here is a mockup video of my flythrough:

    Thanks in advance guys!
