As VRMESH is something that works across all the v-ray platforms this question could be written in any of the forums but I'm using V-Ray for Sketchup so I will ask it here.
I have downloaded a proxy grass file from the internet and it came with texture files. The problem is that the path of the textures in the diffuse layer of the materials is pointing to a local path in on the creators computer. So in order for me to make the proxy render with textures I have to change the path of the diffuse texture every time I open my Sketchup file that includes the proxy file. Even after changing the texture paths in my Sketchup file, when I close and save it, and then open it again, the path information from the proxy overrules/overwrites the changes I made last time.
Is there a way to edit the vrmesh file so I can change the paths of the diffuse layer?
