Here is my situation: I am running a lab with winserver2k and bunch of local machines .... when I purchase vray I will have each machine licensed with vray advanced edu version.
So .... The question of the day is ...
What kind of floating license system is Vray using at the moment ... and will there be a version of vray advanced edu version that will still allow network licensing so I won't need to keep track of all those dongles that will be "required" with release 1.5?
Please forgive my ignerance .. but I could find little about this on their website.
Here are all the notes I could find up to this point.
email from Chaos Group:
"Please note that if you want to use the VRay Floating License system,
you will need to purchase a dongle as well once the final VRay 1.5
version is released."
From web site:
"Floating License System
Completely independent of the 3dsmax authorization system.
Support for floating licenses."
