In lightscape you can define a "Custom Ray file" to describe how the rendering will distorted. .. i tried to find an documentation about this file type, but it seems to be an holy secret of autodesk....
..anyway, i think the idea to define the cameradistortion (spherical, cylindrical, fisheye...) with a parameterfile is pretty nice, since i believe this can be a key to create "different" perspectives which are far beyond reality and let you dive into your creativity.
