Hello,
I have recently started with VRay in Blender and I can’t figure out how to make a mesh with a movie on it. Think TV. Upload doesn’t work so I’ll at least descibe node setups I tried (on last desperate try the upload worked ):
Output Image File Texture -> Diffuse VRayMtl -> BRDF Single -> Material Material Output
Bitmap Buffer -> Bitmap Bitmap Texture -> Color Light -> BRDF Single -> Material Material Output
I have tried to render with images only and it worked fine. When I render movie, the surface is black. Blender can read the video input, I can see a frame in UV/Image Editor.
I rendered with GI on and off to make sure it’s out of the equation.
A second question: I want to create a heatwave effect coming from a device showing how the heat is penetrating a tissue. As there will be rotation involved in the animation I would like to keep the effect in Blender rather than to rely on postprocessing in AE. I was thinking about using luminiscent smoke, is there a better way?
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Edward
