Hi there,
I use V-ray for sketchup and while sketchup doesn't natively have any ability to do animation I am aware that a vrscene can be "pre-animated" and I had once before played around with having cars move on a straight path in 3ds Max so that I can get the asset to render with motion blur in sketchup and my streets look less "still". Would be amazing if some of the assets could have that kind of animation/motion embedded into them.
The cosmos has been very handy. Would also be interested to host your local content to the browser for ease of integration + import. Even if it is an entirely separate browser window.
