Animated noise pattern on or off?

Hi there,
What exactly does the "animated noise pattern" do?
I'm rendering a huge scene and had to lower the render samples to be able to render the animation: lots of crawling noise as expected.

Should I turn off the animated noise pattern, will that help? I know the amount of noise will still be the same, but maybe less crawling?

The checkbox has a tooltip: "Enables an animated noise pattern with a random seed to be used instead of a fixed one when rendering. Disabling this will cause repeated renders to be deterministic."
It won't improve the noise of your animations, but it will cause the same rendered frame to have the same noise when rendered repeatedly. This can be useful when comparing renders with minor differences in settings or whatnot.
